As 2024 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on an incredible year and share our gratitude.

First and foremost, a huge thank you to our LPs who have returned to invest in our flagship Adara IV fund. Your continued trust and partnership mean so much to us, and we’re excited to deepen relationships with more LPs as we build momentum into 2025.

We’re also deeply grateful to the LPs who backed us in launching our inaugural Energy Fund — a new strategy that we believe will unlock significant opportunities in the energy sector.

This year was filled with exciting milestones: we successfully wrapped up our third fund (AVIII), invested in phenomenal new founding teams, expanded our team, and celebrated well-deserved promotions within it.

Along the way, we’ve cheered on incredible growth stories and achievements across the Adara portfolio, driven by the ambition, resilience, and hard work of the founders and teams we’re so proud to support.

Highlights from 2024

💫 Wrapping up AVIII

This year, we completed the final investments of AVIII, our €80 million third fund dedicated to supporting the best early-stage enterprise tech founders across Southern Europe.  

In February, we led a €4 million Series A round in WIVI Vision, a fast-growing startup improving vision care with cutting-edge immersive 3D and AI technologies. Learn more. 

In April, we participated in the €6 million Series A round for Indigitall, an AI-powered omnichannel marketing platform. Learn more. 

We have now backed 20 exceptional teams addressing complex challenges for the modern enterprise through our third fund. Stay tuned for big announcements about our flagship fund, coming in early 2025.

🚀 Launching the Adara Ventures Energy Fund

This year, we kicked off the investment phase of the Adara Ventures Energy Fund, our first Pan-European, thematic fund focused on technologies driving the energy transition. 

We began by hosting the first meetings of the Industrial Advisory Committee for the fund, bringing together leaders from across the energy industry. Check out recaps of the meetings held in April and November.

We also proudly announced a €35 million investment from the European Investment Fund (EIF), alongside support from key energy leaders. Redeia, Spain's global operator of critical electricity and telecommunications infrastructure, has committed to the Energy Fund through its innovation platform Elewit, as well as the energy holding company Grupo Energía Bogotá.

In December, we also announced our first investment from the fund in SatVu, the UK-based global leader in advanced infrared imaging technology. We co-led the £20 million funding round alongside Molten Ventures, with strong support from existing investors including NOA, Lockheed Martin, Seraphim, Ridgeline, and Stellar Ventures. 

The investment phase is officially underway, and we can’t wait to share more updates very soon.

💪 Growing the Adara team

At Adara, our team is the foundation of our success, and it was a significant year for growing and strengthening it.

In March, we announced the well-deserved promotions of two exceptional team members – Ross Strachan to Partner and Jorge Baron to Principal – milestones that reflect their dedication, talent, and invaluable contributions to Adara's journey.

This year, we also welcomed several talented individuals to the team. Irene Alía joined us as our new Head of Legal and Mariam Amal as Office Manager. We also welcomed Ignacio Montoliu as an Operations Associate and Ana Gabriela Hernández as a Compliance/Operations Assistant.

We’re proud to have such a strong team supporting our portfolio founders and helping drive our growth.
