Adara Ventures Energy: Second Industrial Advisory Committee Meeting Recap

We recently held the second meeting of the Adara Energy Industrial Advisory Committee in Barcelona, Spain, part of our Adara Energy fund dedicated to discovering and supporting technologies that will transform the energy landscape.

It was a great opportunity to gather following the official announcement of the fund and the significant commitments made so far, including €35 million from the European Investment Fund (EIF) and support from leading energy industry players Elewit and Grupo Energía Bogotá. 

During the meeting, we shared fund updates and engaged in meaningful discussions about advancements in energy technology and the investment sectors we are exploring. 

Spotlight: Energy efficiency and AI's growing role

We were delighted to have Helena Alegre (Project Leader at BCG) and Benoît Bastien (Enterprise Software Business Development EMEA at NVIDIA) join us for the day. They shared insights on developing energy efficiency and AI's growing role in the sector. From predictive maintenance to smart grid management, we explored the vast applications of AI and its potential to transform the way energy is produced, distributed, and consumed.

Startups leading the way in energy transition technologies

During the meeting, we also had the opportunity to hear from founders leading the way in energy technology innovation. They demonstrated impactful real-world applications and provided insight into how we can build a more sustainable future.

• Eran Inbar, Founder & CEO of Prisma Photonics, showcased photonic sensing technology and their solutions aimed at improving the security and reliability of energy distribution systems.
• Harald Olderheim, Founder & CEO of Glint Solar, discussed advanced software for managing PV generation deployments and how the company is helping to create more cost-effective and sustainable solar energy options.
• Anthony Baker, Founder & CEO of SatVu, presented their advancements in satellite-based, high-definition IR imaging and analytics, which can help energy companies monitor and optimize operations.
• Morten Huseby, CEO of Wirescan, highlighted their efforts to enhance electric cable safety and integrity through innovative scanning technology.
